Make the Most of Your Retreat Photography
Documenting your retreat is all about telling the story of its unique journey. Together, we’ll create visuals that capture the heart of your work and the moments you and your guests will want to cherish forever. To make the most of this experience, here are a few tips:
Share your vision with me
Let me know what you have in mind! Is there a mood, a story, or specific shots you are envisioning? The more we share ideas, the more we can bring them to life. Feel free to send over inspiration in whatever form for your session.
Keep the Space Clean and Beautiful
No one wants a messy corner stealing the show! Before our sessions, try to tidy up mats, props, and any clutter around. Invite your students or guests to help you with this to get a clean image!
Chase the Light
Natural light is a retreat photographer’s best friend! Bright, airy spaces or golden hour sessions are ideal for creating stunning, vibrant images. Let’s take advantage of daylight to make your retreat glow.
Prep Your Guests
Give your participants a heads-up about the photography. Encourage them to relax, enjoy, and be themselves! Authenticity is what makes the most beautiful photos.
Plan for Movement
Energy and flow bring photos to life! If it’s relevant for the work that you do, try to incorporate at least one activity that show movement and connection—whether it’s yoga sequences, nature walks, dancing, or group meals. The more natural and interactive, the better.
Relax and Let the Magic Happen
I’ve got this! Don’t worry about having to document anything! My goal is to blend into the flow of the retreat and capture its most heartfelt, spontaneous moments.
Give Participants Their Shine
Let your attendees know they’ll have opportunities to book personal photos too! I’m available for mini portrait sessions if the timing is short or I can offer personal candid shots of their retreat journey outside of the ones included in your package.
